Originality

All content of this site has been created by Inhuman Beings. Where we have drawn on other sources for information on the site, these sources have been acknowledged. Or have they?

Given the massive amount of literature in existance, both currently and historically, is it possible to say that any idea or statement is original? We draw upon language to formulate our thought, to give them context and meaning and, crucially, to communicate them.

Language contains certain conventions and signs which must be universal or else communication would be impossible.By utilising language we are merely rearranging the building blocks of historic thought. 

We Know Where You Live

Hence, nothing is truely original. If there is no originality, and if all communication is merely a reconstruction of existing thought, then can anything be justifiably copyrighted?

We don't know the answer to this, so we fiercely copyright everything we do and threaten to blow off the kneecaps of anyone who infringes it. Better to be safe than sorry.
