I've been skimming around the blogosphere, looking for interesting people to argue with. And there are thousands. Which is good. I like arguing. But there are countless bloggers who only blog about blogging. They don't rant about the economy or wax lyrical about the arts or just plain vent their spleen to anyone who'll listen. Instead, they proclaim their wisdom about keywords and search engine optimisation. WTF? Where's the fun in arguing about that? |

Being English, I have a problem with Baseball. It is incomprehensible.I have spent much time watching Baseball, trying to work out the rules, but to no avail. Sometimes the stickman hits the ball and runs around in circles, sometimes he hits the ball and stand still. Sometimes he hits the ball way out of the stadium and goes home for a cup of tea.

Maybe the common phrase "a waste of time" is more literal than we imagine. What happens to all that time that isn't used productively? Does it go onto the Time Landfill Site, only to be buried under missed opportunities and forgotten causes? What if all the wasted time was collected and re-used? So, on top of recycled paper and plastic etc we could have labels declaring that "This book was written using recycled time". |

Here at Inhuman Beings HQ, we are continually striving for innovation in all things. Lately, we have been lamenting the constraints of the Internet and it's limited ability to only send little 1's and 0's between computers. Ok, fine, so this means we can read stuff, listen to tunes, transfer artificial money and watch videos online. But it's just not good enough. It's time to be more creative with telecommunications... |

If sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, the quoting Oscar Wilde is the lowest form of original thought. There is an art to good sarcasm. A poetry. A beauty. A great sarcastic remark should be well timed, precise and delivered with the right amount of caustic inflection as to leave the recipient reeing but not hurt. It takes practice and study. It requires sharp wits and a silken tongue. Those who deplore sarcasm simply do not understand it. |
